Looking back 25 years ago, the Marinduquenos residing in the Tri-State area doesn't really have knowledge of one another's whereabout - where we were, what we do, our families, etc. Ralph Bunag was here in New Jersey back then, Steve Sosa, Rey Muhi, Joven Labay, Atty. Max Malvar, Carmeling Mabiog Davis, to name a few. So we thought we get together and put up an organization. We started calling kababayans that we knew were living in the in the East Coast. Thru word of mouth, we were able to contact considerable number of people and we had our first meeting at Steve and Alma Sosa's residence in Colonia, New Jersey. The rests are history.
And here we are still going strong as ever. So we would say... |
