MARINDUQUENEWS International
PRESIDENT'S REPORT
contrid.

We had a good number of young volunteers between 21 to 35 years of age, namely: Marita Jao-Stuppy, Grace & Paul Regan from US and Leslie Sto. Domingo-Samoy and Edrid Milambiling from Canada. These are the faces of our young generation that will make us feel secure for the future of MI, Inc. in developing the leaders of tomorrow.

We acknowledge the great efforts of all Chapters and every donor in the fundraising campaign accomplished in the shortest possible time in the history of our Medical Missions (from Aug. 11, 2005 to Feb. 11, 2006).

The partnership with chapter members and the officers who had r allied behind to get to the Mission's Goal of $30,000 was an all-time high. The result was successfully overwhelming - 80% more than the defined goals. Well noted was that the Registration Fees of each Missioners paid for their food, lodging and transportation and the solicited medicines donated by Chapters and their members contributed to lower the direct costs related to delivery of medical services.

Where do we go from here? If we come to terms that the project of Mission of Love is financed for the cost of medicines delivered in the free clinic & the hospital surgical cases, then the total cost of $12,000 will be reduced to about $2.00 per medical case handled. We know that the $8,000 spent for Missioners food, lodging and transsportation for the 6 days of free clinic was paid for by the $100 registration fees or $200 if the lodging is included. Then, it will bring us to an objective evaluation that the Mission of Love is a very viable project that helps the most number of recipients reaching to the very grass roots of our beloved Marinduque.

To the Missioners, without your presence and contributions, this Mission will never happen; Chapter members, Donors and families ... we salute your good hearts, your names and you know who you are.

The next level of our fundraising is to target for matching donors - be it corporate, individual or government agency using all these highlighted facts that created a good reputable image for our Marinduque International, Inc. the implementing and executing body of 8 chapters of Marinduquenos all over the USA (Maryland & Virgina, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachussett, and Philadelphia; Northern and Southern California; Chicago & Indiana; Toronto, Manitoba & Vancouver, Canada; and Texas (MASTEGS), the newest addition to our fold.

Feedbacks on how we can better deliver a project are in place for costs review, logistics and management of resources. We encourage participation in the workshops scheduled for our June 24, 2006 business meeting in Rhodes Ranch, Las Vegas, NV. We will listen to new speakers that will cover alternative costing of medicines such as Canada's Physician Travel Pack to be delivered by Dr. Ernie M. Milambiling and the compliance of Professionals to Philippine regulatory licensure requirements when we come to the next Mission of Love to be presented by Dr. Art Hernandez.

We thank our Founding Fathers, Dr. Hector Sulit, Dr. Rudy Jao, and Dr. Freddie Ng, who endured watching the fruits of their labor and leadership towards unity of Marinduquenos echoing "Our Mission Is To Help ...Together We Will Succeed".  Yes, we delivered again the Mission of Love IV. As you will see from the pictures presented, we have testimony to the majesty and splendor of the work we all have done. It is indeed quite a feat which would not have been possible with your your help.

Many thanks to all, Maraming salamat po.  Let us bow down our heads to thank the Almighty's Goodness on this gathering for a unified Marinduque.

All the warm and best wishes to all.
