Greetings, fellow Marinduquenos and friends, I will be updating you periodically on the activities that we are undertaking as well as plans that we will be making during my term. I hope that by informing you of our progress, you will be encouraged to join us and also give us your opinions, suggestions and recommendations. I welcome all your constructive input. CURRENT ACTIVITIES MASC is currently signing up participants for their November 24th Caribbean Cruise. Every 16th passengers fare will go to the Chapter. A percentage of total net profit will go to MI, Inc. Come join us!!! Contact Luz Mondonedo - M.I., Inc. Fundraising Chair at 1-818-640-9690. MACUSA will conduct a raffle with Daily ($50.00). Sunday ($100.00); Holiday ($500.00); Birthday ($1000.00) winners. Winning tickets are put back in the pot so participants have multiple chances to win. MI, Inc. will share in the net profits. Steve Sosa is in the Philippines and will meet with the company that provides solar powered equipment and household supplies to needy families. He will obtain more specific details especially the cost involved in supporting such a program. Our Mission of Love will be held on Feb. 9-15, 2014. I encourage ALL of you to come and JOIN US. Not too early to make plans. The experience is life altering and so satisfactory. Please invite doctors, nurses, dentists and pharmacists to share their skills in helping our needy folks. Finding the money to fund our Mission is very important and we hope that you will be generous with your contributions. Fundraising strategies are welcome and should be shared with other Chapters. I have sent copies of our Raffle procedure to all Chapter Presidents for their consideration. Our busy Secretary, Linda Mantaring Claire, need to get the e-mail addresses of all Chapter secretaries and PRO's so that she can send information to them together with the President, of course. I will end my report each time with a request for prayers and best wishes for some of our members facing health, emotional and other challenges.
